Our visit to Disneyland Resort
1. Disney California Adventure
Day 1 was spent with the girls' favorite princess, Princess Anna from Frozen! Being able to spend the morning with Disney characters was well enjoyed. Ana and Elsa’s Royal Welcome at Hollywood Land. Here we received a royal greeting as the girls were able to view a short animated movie as we waited for our turn to share an icy royal experience.
Disney Junior Dance Party.
Shortly after Ana we were able to head next door for Disney dance party with Mini Mouse, Sofia the First, Doc McStuffins and Timon dancing in person. There was also a DJ and there was the opportunity to be recorded on video. The DJ party was well presented as it provided a live moment for the girls to participate.
Days 2 and 3 were spent at Disneyland. Here you can enter a magical kingdom where you get to explore jungles, fairy-tale princesses such as Princess and the Frog, Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast musical and more. Further, we were able to ride different rides in Main Street, Tomorrowland, Fantasyland, Mickey’s Toontown, Frontierland, and more.
One thing that we appreciated was being able to connect with other moms while our children had downtime between rides. We also appreciated that going at the time that we did the lines were not as long as expected. We are grateful for the short lines and the quick rides as our girls were able to enjoy the Disney experience in a way that will be positively remembered.
We took part in the Photopass experience at different locations around Disneyland. Our favorite experiences within Disneyland would have had to be the Christmas Fantasy Parade and Firework Spectacular.
Gosh the food! An embedded memory. We were able to eat a corndog from one of the food carts which was so Yum! We also had pizza from an eatery outside of Disneyland Resort on Harbor Blvd, Anaheim. The sit down restaurant that we went to was Captain Kidd's Family Dining. Very similar to the Canadian meals that we have here though the favours are so Yum!
As you know by now, I typically end with a take away. In terms of rides and food, a take away that I would have to provide you is relationship. The ability to be in the moment while spending time with those that matter to you. One thing that has helped me refine this over the years has had to be meditation. When we meditate we're closed off from the distractions that are around us and allow ourselves to focus on the moment.
You have made it this far, so thank you! Feel free to leave a comment as I always love to hear from you.
